There was a certain color scheme I stuck with as Fall became Winter, and these slowly became my second skin. Instead of rocking your Holiday red, or New Years glitz and glam I kept it reallll grunge with a bohemian touch. Dirty olive tones, grays, and maroons were my go-to colors, and this outfit reflects just that.
First off, this flannel. I can't explain to you how many times I wore this flannel this Winter. When I first saw it I was so intimidated by how "busy" it looked, but as I became more comfortable with mixing prints and patterns I realized how versatile and genius this piece was! I love the fact that there's floral fabric. It's so unexpected, and goes to show that florals are not just for spring! I was throwing it on almost every outfit I wore: wrapped around my waist, buttoned as a shirt dress, worn with the buttons open, and layered. The best thing about it is that the company that made it specializes in re-working vintage clothing that you may find at Goodwill so every piece is one of a kind!
If you know my personal style, then you know I love me mah statement pieces especially a boho one! I found this gorgeous arm cuff at Free People, and it took me a year to finally whip it out and wear it. Never again will I be afraid to flaunt such a beautiful piece.
