August is over (WTF). Fall is approaching and people in Florida will have to pretend that the weather is getting cooler when in fact it's only getting hotter (and the levels of oil my face produces are rising).
I wanted to hint the transition from Summer to Fall fashion with subtle trends. First off, DA HAT. Them wool hats have been a Fall essential since lawd* knows when, and I finally bought one! Throwing a hat on is such a simple way to make any outfit cute AF (and if you're an engineer major like me it's a great way to get called Amish by your engineer friends! :D)
Next, le chokér. Guys...$5 at Forever 21, such a steal! Pop that sucker on and you're givin' off them grunge vibes, gruh*. There are so many different varieties in the market, so you're bound to find one that fits your style.
DENIIIM. Denim is always an essential in Fall fashion and I showcased it with my white, high-waisted/water, destroyed jeans (wow, that's a mouthful), and my blue denim jacket. I love that the hem is high-water because they go great with my Vans! Since I'm short, the high-waist and higher hem of the jeans give my legs length. If I wore regular length jeans with high-top sneakers this whole look would've been a hot mess (kinda like me). But on a serious note to short people, crowding at the ankle will only make you look shorter, and it's unflattering. At least, that's what I've noticed in my 5 years of thinking I have a fashion sense.
To tie everything together, I wore this gorgeous lace brallete to keep things flirty, girly, and because it was too damn hot to be wearing a blouse.
I hope you all are having a great start to your semester/school year, and was able to gather some fashion inspiration!
*gruh= girl, but with an *UMPH*
