Y'all, I'm hype about this post! I feel a sense of style that I can finally feel comfortable with. To be honest, ever since I've been exposed to a casual work environment I've been putting less and less effort into what I choose to wear from day to day. It came to a point where I just literally wore jeans and a t-shirt everyday and, this may sound exaggerated, but it really started to take a toll on my style identity 😫.
I feel it coming back!
The base of my look is a simple pair of denim shorts and a t-shirt (the one from Double Agent I always wear). My bag is from Free People, and I love it! The net bag trend is so dope, I'm obsessed.
I went to a sample sale that Style Mafia, a local brand, was having and scored this amazing blazer. How cool is it?! The print is trendy and what not, but THE SLEEVES. Ugh, the sleeves are just so nice. I wanted to dress the blazer down with sneakers, obviously. Also, yes, I'm wearing a blazer in the summer because fashion wasn't made for utility, and I love a good sweat ;).
I recently just bought a new pair of Veja's that I' had been DYING for, and they went perfectly with this look. For those of you that don't know, Veja is an amazing brand out of France. Their mission is to make sneakers differently by “infusing each stage of production with a positive impact.” They make environmentally friendly sneakers with raw materials sourced from organic farming and ecological agriculture, and without chemicals or polluting processes.
