Cheesy title, I know (haaaaan), but this outfit reminded me of a very simple formula for putting together a great outfit in a matter of minutes.
The day I wore this was the day after coming back from my PCH Road Trip, and ya girl was exhausted from getting in late the night before. I woke up late for work and found myself needing to piece something together in a matter of what felt like 2 minutes 😭.
Whenever I’m in an outfit-rut, I always go to my Pinterest boards. They help sooo much. The Pinterest gods were feeding me some major neutural tonal inspiration and I thought, “Okay….white. An all white look usually always works”. I threw on some newly thrifted knit pants which were also extremely comfortable (perfect for a Monday) and one of my thrifted silk blouses to add some sophistication. After realizing that my pants and shirt combo was slightly “nurse like”, I immediately knew what it needed: A BLAZER. We love a blazer OOTD! I find that every time I wear a one, I always receive a compliment (another great thing for a Monday, lol.) I grabbed my dark green oversized blazer and reminded myself I was going for a neutral look by throwing on my nude Veja’s and A LOOK WAS BORN! My hair looked a damn mess so I clipped them back with some white oversized hairclips, and threw on my staple Kozha Numbers bag.
The monochromatic base with an oversized blazer formula is one that will definitely work without fail. Special shoutout to Yashi who snapped some photos of me just before dinner.
In honor of my rotating closet, don’t forget to shop the outfit in the links in this post!
