I’m back with another ootd post with the most stunning facade as my background. I put this outfit together as a base to wear before a morning of OOTD-shooting with Yash. Getting ready that morning looked like dealing with a hangover from a dinner party the night before, hot flashing every 15 minutes from my body trying to detox, Yash telling me she was 15 minutes away from my apartment, and me not knowing wtf to wear haha.
I’m absolutely loving this bermuda-style short trend we’re on, and remebered I found a really nice pair of denim shorts that look like someone bought them in 1994 and never wore them. They’re too big for me, but that’s the vibe, amirite?? During the day, Yash and I would be shooting and styling Hawaiian shirts for a special event we have coming up with LYNK Studio, so I threw these shorts on as a “base” to some of the outfits I had in mind. After I finished prepping all of the other accessories and tops I had to bring with me, I had no time to think of what top to wear, so I literally threw on my new favorite off-white cotton t-shirt. This shirt literally works with ANY OUTFIT, and the fact that it’s a nice sturdy cotton tee reminds me how good basics are, especially if they’re high quality. A thick cotton tee compared to one you might find in today’s mall’s/instagram shops can really elevate a look with a subtle hint of elegance and minimalism. Did that make any sense??? Lol.
I wrapped everything up with my funky red sandal-heels, and my favorite new Kozha Numbers bag. This outfit is definitely a gentle reminder to not forget about your accessories as well! The take away from this ‘fit? High quality pieces, unique accessories, and less is more! Without those components, this look could have easily fallen victim to being just an average outfit.
