Between the end of finals, and the beginning of Summer A, I was lucky enough to go on a cruise and enjoy 4 beautiful days with my boyfriend's family. His older sister was getting married in Key West so we hopped on the Carnival Victory, and celebrated until we returned to Miami.
Our first stop was the Keys, WOOT WOOT! Even though I've been to Key West a handful of times on cruises, I never felt like I had seen Key West until now. This may sound crazy, but I've never been to the beaches there before, and my first time being for a wedding couldn't have been more memorable! After the wedding, we ate at the iconic Sloppy Joe's Bar where we indulged in the most ridiculous platters like a Sloppy Joe's Pizza and this dip...I can't remember what the name was, but it was the most delicious fish dip I've ever had! Unfortunately we had to be back on the ship by an 1:15pm, so after we clogged our arteries, it was off to Mexico!
MEXICO! Once you get past the Americanized port, it's such a beautiful place to be! The water is crystal clear, a trillion different shades of blue, and has an abundance of wildlife compared to what I'm used to seeing. When we arrived we had dune buggies waiting for us to take us on a tour, and our first stop was a beach along the south side of Cozumel. We grabbed snorkel gear and hopped in the ocean where we saw so many beautiful creatures!
